Bowland Blackout
Join the BOWLAND BLACKOUT
On the longest day in the year in the geographical centre of the United Kingdom why not turn off your electricity to show you care. The BOWLAND BLACKOUT is a new environmental campaign that aims to draw people together to celebrate our unique environment and its importance within a global context. The Forest of Bowland AONB is just one of millions of special and unique habitats around the planet being threatened by climate change. No matter where you are – show you care for the environment by reducing your carbon footprint – spend Monday 21st June reconnecting to the needs of the planet. Walk or cycle for the day, turn off appliances and do not use electricity for the day.
You’ll be surprised how good it will make you feel.
